As God’s Own children and representatives on this earth, we carry His Spirit, His nature, His power, and His glory! Having the fullness of God living inside us is a privilege with a distinct purpose! We are supposed to shine brightly as a beacon for the world around us. It’s not us we are attracting people to – it’s the Person of Jesus Who lives inside us that we want them to see and know for themselves! That’s why we must determine to wake up each day choosing to encounter Jesus in His Word and prayer.
As we yield to the Presence of His Spirit, lingering long enough for Him to pour His life and power into our hearts afresh – we position ourselves to be led by Him, instead of being led by our flesh throughout the day. It’s like receiving fresh oil to keep our inner lanterns burning bright with His righteousness, peace, and joy! This is the kingdom of God life we are offering the world around us!
When we receive this fresh oil each day, God’s light burns so brightly all darkness is consumed and overpowered by it. Every person we encounter, every room we enter and every situation we face we fill with the Presence of God! We fill it with His wisdom, His power, and His light! This is how we share Jesus – The answer to every problem or trouble they will ever have in this life! Today, let Him fill you with His oil, and set you ablaze to shine His goodness, all day long!
