Your attitude towards the Word of God determines the position God holds in your life. No person can say they truly love God and display a low regard for his Word. We simply can’t separate God from His Word; they are one. When we understand the value of the Word, and see the evidence of what it produces in us, we develop a deep passion for it. We desire it more than the natural food we need for survival. Ask yourself this question, “What position does God’s Word hold in my life?”. Is it the first thing you turn to and meditate on in the morning, or is it the last thing on your list to do? Do you love the Word of God enough to abandon your own preferences and do what it teaches with a willing and grateful heart? The truth is, nobody puts God’s Word first and lives to regret it, and whoever believes in and follows it with their whole heart, will never be ashamed of doing so. Today, allow the Holy Spirit to reignite your passion for the Word of God. As you prioritise His Word, He will prioritise your advancement.
