No Turning Back

Many men and women in the Bible had to make a choice to either continue pressing on doing what God had said to do, or turn back and live apart from His direction. The same is true for us today, we need to choose to press on, keep walking in faith and look forward to what He has promised us, or make the choice to turn away and follow what seems to be the easy way, or the path of least resistance. Moses had to make a very serious decision when he was staring at the red sea. The nation God had told him to lead out of slavery was trapped between their quickly advancing pursuers and an ocean. If Moses had chosen to step down, and away from what God had originally instructed him to do at that moment, God’s people would have been taken right back into slavery. Instead, Moses chose to stay in the fight, he chose to believe God and continue looking forward to their destiny. In that impossible moment, he told the people to stay calm and listened for the Lord’s instruction. As soon as he acted on the Word the Lord gave him, the miraculous happened and God’s people were saved while their enemies were destroyed – just as the Lord had promised. When we are faced with impossible situations, as we wait on the Lord, He will give us a Word to act upon. Our immediate obedience will open the way for our deliverance and silence the enemy, destroying his plan for our destruction.  Refuse to fear, wait on the Lord and as you do what He says to do – you will walk in the way He has personally carved out for you!
