Final Authority

Your Bible is not only a book of promises from God to you, it is your Covenant with Him! A covenant is a relationship between two individuals; a firm commitment binding promises that cannot be broken! Which is why we must allow God’s Word to have and hold final authority in our lives. A wonderful truth to dwell on is that our God will never and can never change, it is impossible for Him to change! He will never go back on His Word; He will never alter what is written and He will never change His mind about you. While God will never change, our responsibility is to change. We must constantly and diligently keep, order, and align our thoughts, words, and actions to His own! At times the pressures of the world and the concerns we face become overwhelming, and we are tempted to take matters into our own hands, especially when we don’t see the results the Word has promised us. But that’s exactly where our confidence and absolute trust in our covenant God is tested. Proverbs 16:3 tells us what to do in those moments of crisis: “Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.”  Allow God’s Word to be your final say in ALL things! The fruit will speak for itself, showing evidence of His wonderful works. His Word is filled with power and can be trusted fully. Choose to make it the final authority in your life, from today!
