We live in a day and age where people are encouraged to speak freely and promote their personal viewpoint, as long as it’s not offensive to anyone else. Sadly, there is a demonically inspired push to frown upon people who speak the truth of God’s Word. As a result, many Christians have taken the approach of not being bold or vocal about what the Word of God says concerning the moral issues we face today.
Jesus made it very clear that the Word will be offensive to those who choose wickedness. His word is like a two-edged sword, which cuts between bone and marrow, between soul and spirit. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires (Hebrews 4:12). Even though there is tremendous pressure from the world to back down from our belief in the power of the Name of Jesus Christ, and the sovereign truth of the Word – it is vital to our eternal salvation to not settle for fear of people’s opinions.
Paul made it very clear that we are not to be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and all it encompasses! It is the power of God working in us daily – keeping us from eternal damnation. Be bold and courageous in your faith. Don’t draw back in fear – it will cost you your salvation. Fear is not your portion; but victory, righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost is!
