In a fast-paced, social media-driven society, people are more connected than ever; and yet so many feel isolated and alone. From the vast number of people on their contact lists, how many are actually counted as true friends? Do we even know the meaning of true friendship? The Bible sets some pretty strong examples for true friendships that are marked by kindness, honesty, and loyalty. Friendships that motivate one another to become the best version of themselves!
The Word of God says that a single person can put a thousand enemies to flight; but two, who are in unity, can put ten thousand to flight. Jesus is the greatest example of a friend we will ever have. He is loyal and faithful to those who reverently fear Him, and promises to personally teach them His covenant ways. By His Spirit, He teaches us how to walk righteously and keeps us securely positioned for victory.
Determine to invest in your time spent with Jesus. Acknowledge Him in all you do and enjoy the gift of knowing Him as your friend.
