A Trustworthy Partnership

Placing our full trust and confidence in people will only lead to disappointment. Psalm 118:8 says,“It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” The only One we can place all our trust in is the Lord.  Psalms 111:7 says, “… all His decrees and precepts are sure (fixed, established, and trustworthy).”  This means that no matter what trials, challenges, or hardships we endure here on earth, we have a faithful, trustworthy God to depend upon.  As we are faithful to spend time in fellowship with Him while we meditate on His Word, He will comfort, strengthen and release a flow of His peace – giving wisdom for us to apply to every situation.  Without fail, He will lead us through every difficulty as we refuse to fear and hold fast to His truth.  1 Corinthians 1:9 says, “God is faithful (reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on); by Him you were called into companionship and participation with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” We must remember that this life of faith is all about responding to the call of partnership with Jesus, through His Holy Spirit. As we learn to hear His voice, closely follow His lead, and rely completely on Him, we will not be bothered by the pressures or seasons this world is subject to. Instead, we will flourish and be fruitful because we are drawing from the giver of life Who is wisdom Himself.
