Educated in Faith

In this portion of scripture, Paul was in Ephesus and found the followers of Jesus there had not being taught about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. After laying hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them and they began speaking in tongues. Seeing that these believers had much to learn about their new faith in Christ, Paul took them with him to a lecture hall to teach and discuss the ways of the Lord. Their faith must have grown extensively during this time because we learn that God performed some very spectacular miracles by the hands of Paul. This is why it’s so important for us to gather on a regular basis with fellow believers. We need to continuously learn and be equipped for this life of faith. Without the word being taught we will not have all the answers or wisdom to deal with the challenges of life; or know how to effectively use God’s power to defeat the enemy. Find a good bible study or weekly meeting with other believers where your faith will be activated, so you can grow and be increasingly effective in your Christian walk.
