Faithfulness

This scripture brings much peace and comfort to the child of God who is faithful in their walk with the Lord. The trouble is: many Christians feel disqualified from receiving this promise because they fall short in being faithful. The truth is, in our own strength, we all fall short. That’s why we have Jesus! The Bible teaches the moment we surrender our hearts to God’s saving grace – He recreates our spirits into His very image.

He takes His own Spirit and places it inside ours. You see, the character or fruit of the Holy Spirit is a part of the eternal nature of God; and He has placed it within us. What does the nature of God look like? Well, it’s reliable, loyal, and steadfast. It’s devoted, trustworthy, dependable, dedicated, constant, and unwavering.

That pretty much sums up the faithful nature of our God. And did you know that same faithful nature is very much present inside your spirit today! All you need do is activate it. As you spend time with Him in His Word, allowing His Spirit to influence the way you think, speak, and act – you can expect faithfulness to grow in your life and become a dominating character trait – causing you to reap every covenant blessing!
