Faith’s Follow-Through

True Biblical faith demands action. When our hearts are full of God’s love, and His Word is alive inside us, faith becomes a natural way of life for us. While we decree and declare God’s promises over our circumstances and lives, we follow through this process of faith by putting it into action.

The Bible gives an account of a woman who had an issue of blood. She exhausted all her resources and efforts to remedy her ailment, to no avail. Then, one day she heard that Jesus – the Healer – was coming to her area. The Bible says that as she ventured out, knowing full well the law forbade her to leave her home in her condition, she kept saying, “if only I touch the hem of his garment, I will be healed”. She spoke the language of faith, but there had to come a follow-through action for her faith to produce the result she needed. It was not until she stretched out her hand and placed a demand on the healing power of Jesus, that she received her miracle. Faith is what we do, in response to God’s promises. Remember, just reading and confessing the Word, without responding to its truth with our actions, is not enough.

If God’s Word says we are healed – then we begin rejoicing, thanking Him for that healing and acting as if it has already been manifest in our lives. It may be difficult at first, but the more we respond to God’s truth this way – the more our faith is empowered and activated to follow through – until we see every promise become our reality.
