Faith is the substance of things hoped for, which makes it inherently positive. We live in a world that is incredibly noisy. There are many distractions all around us – the radio in the car, the television, online social media. Everywhere we look people are expressing their views and opinions from their perspectives which more than often, are overwhelmingly negative. Paul warned the church in Philippi to exclusively fix their thoughts on “things that are excellent and worthy of praise”. As we walk in this new year, while we are aware of the trouble around us, let’s determine to focus on God’s perspective concerning it. Make His Promises and wisdom the principle opinion in every topic of discussion, and surround yourself with people who are like-minded in this regard. You will soon notice many things begin to change for the better, both in and around you.
