Isn’t it glorious when the Presence of the Lord is so tangible, we can literally feel Him in and all around us; and we can clearly hear His voice give clear direction for what we’ve sought His face for! Then, there are times where it seems He is silent. We struggle with thoughts of doubt and fear, wondering if He has somehow distanced Himself from us. The truth is: He has promised to never leave us, or loosen His hold on our lives. His Spirit never stops communicating His love and wisdom into our spirits, because we are inseparably connected to Him. The trouble is: we tend to fill our lives with things that distract us from hearing His voice. When we become caught up with the cares and issues of life, we become less sensitive to sensing His Presence. That’s why we must maintain the habit of seeking His face every morning. We must fight our flesh to enter into that place where we shut off everything that competes for our attention and surrender our hearts and minds to the Lord. As we deliberately draw close to Him, He promises He will answer us and fill us with the peace, hope, wisdom, and joy we so desperately need and long for. So seek, and you will find He has not left, nor has He ever stopped speaking.
