God Means What He Says

One of God’s greatest desires is to see His children prosper. Jesus made it clear He came for us to enjoy the privilege of living an abundant life here on earth. Just as a natural father wants to bless his children, so our Heavenly Father wants to pour out such a blessing on us, we would not have room enough to contain it.

Malachi 3:10 encourages us to do the unthinkable – to “test” and “prove” God to be faithful to His Word concerning this. When we walk in obedience, honouring the Lord in our tithes and offerings, He promises to open the floodgates of heaven – releasing His abundance onto our lives. We don’t have to wonder if God will be true to His Word in this regard.

We can trust Him to mean what He says, and keep His Word. 1 Corinthians 1:9 says: “God is faithful (reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on)…” When you bring your tithes and offerings to the Lord, expect Him to do exactly what He said He would do – you’ll see, He really does mean what He says.
