God’s Plans Above Ours

Every born again child of God wants to walk in God’s perfect will for their lives. We know His plans are far greater than we could ever dream, or imagine. The trouble is: we can become impatient, wanting to walk in the completion of those plans before we even begin the journey.

The children of Israel were just like that. They didn’t want to learn the value of being able to place their full trust in the Lord, regardless of what came against them. If their generation had chosen to embrace learning to trust God’s character and unquestionably obey His instructions in the smallest of things, their destiny would have been drastically different.

They would have developed an unshakable confidence in God to enter their promised land, instead of die outside it. They would have regarded the giants and obstacles with the same tenacious faith as Joshua and Caleb – seeing the opposition as grasshoppers in comparison to themselves. Today, embrace your journey of faith, knowing God is able to complete His perfect will in and through you as you willingly submit to His plans above your own.
