After God instructed Moses to lead His people out of Egypt, we read of a series of events that unfolded each time Moses and Aaron approached Pharaoh for the release of the Israelite people. Since Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, Egypt was struck with 10 plagues which brought disaster and devastation across the nation. Accompanying the plague of hail were fierce winds and storms but not one piece of hail was found in Goshen, where God’s people lived. Even though disaster was happening around them, it did not touch them! Today, know that your covenant with God positions you in a place of protection, provision and peace! In this world, there is devastation all around us, but have your faith stirred by this – even though it is happening around you, it does not have to touch you and your family! As you abide in Jesus and remain fixed and rooted in His Word, being careful to walk in His Ways by the power of His indwelling Holy Spirit, you will be safe and secure. Never lose faith in your covenant God, He will never forsake you but will carefully watch over you and honour His Word concerning you (1 Peter 5:7, Psalm 55:22).
