He Is With You

There are times our prayers are swiftly answered, and times we have to stand our ground and keep believing – even when no answer or breakthrough seems to be in sight. The Bible tells us just how to do this effectively. It says to put on the full armour of God to resist the enemy who is bent on convincing us to lose hope and faith to receive what God has promised us. God told Joshua to be strong and unwavering – displaying courage and determination for the victory He had been promised. How was he to do this?

The one phrase, at the end of the list of instructions, became the life line Joshua needed to keep his focus right and his courage intact. God promised Joshua that He would be with him, just as He had been with Moses. Every part of our spiritual armour revolves around the revelation of us being in God, and Him being in us.

This good fight of faith is not about us standing ground on our own. It’s remaining sensitive to and aware of God’s presence while focusing on what He has promised until we see the victory we were destined for.
