Hold onto Your Confession of Faith

The Word of God declares that we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus!  It tells us we have been blessed with EVERY spiritual blessing and are empowered to live victoriously over the devil in this life, because of the finished work of the cross and the indwelling Presence of the Holy Spirit! However, many Christians walk around with a victim mentality, constantly confessing how they are being beaten down, or are under attack from the devil.  They are always complaining of how worn-out they feel, how broken and broke they are. If they could only understand that the devil has been stripped of all authority and has no power to harm them (Colossians 2:15, Isaiah 54:17). Jesus said that ALL authority has been given to Him, by God (Matthew 28:18).  Then He took that authority and gave it to us! (Luke 10:19, Mark 16:17-18).  Jesus turned the table on the devil! In Christ, we are the ones carrying the authority, not the devil! If this is true, then why are so many Christians living in defeat?  It has everything to do with their refusal to renew their minds to what the Word of God says they are and have in Christ.  Because their thinking is all wrong, so is their confession! When trouble comes, instead of declaring what the Word of God says, they come into agreement with the devil by speaking and complaining about the problem. The devil always responds to negative, fearful words – we literally give him permission to harass us when we come into agreement with the problem.  Jesus, on the other hand, responds to our words of faith! He is the High Priest of our confession of faith! Start speaking in agreement with His Word today, and see it become your reality as you give the devil his marching orders!
