In His Grace

The Spirit of God placed within us gifts to serve and encourage the body of Christ. These gifts flow easily from us, as an extension of God’s Own goodness and kindness, as well as a supernatural ability to accomplish what He has predestined His church to do. Each person’s gifting works perfectly together with others’ to get the job done well.

Paul soundly warns us to not let our flesh get in the way by tricking us into thinking we need to compete or compare our gifts with each other. Or to feel one is more important than the other. Our love for God and humility to surrender to His will must be what motivates our serving others. If you’ve wondered where and how you fit into serving the church, understand your gift is what seems to naturally flow out of you, and brings you joy as you serve others with it.

It’s our responsibility to steward our gifts, so ask the Lord where and how you can use your gifts to serve His body. As He leads you, you’ll see how joyful and fulfilling serving Him can be.
