Trials and tribulations are inevitable. Jesus told us to expect them! However, He didn’t stop there. He told us He has overcome each one for us and deprived them of power to harm us (AMPC). The key to overcoming has everything to do with perspective. No matter how hopeless or severe the problem seems, when we look at it from the position of being in His Presence, we see that problem from His perspective. That problem has already been gloriously overcome!
When Jesus immediately tells us to be of good cheer after He mentions the trials, He shows us how to activate the supernatural strength that’s available and needed to overcome – JOY! Jesus wants us to make His reality of victory our reality. The Bible tells us that as He is in heaven so are we on earth! All the wisdom, strength and resources we need are laid up and available to us through faith in Him. Joy comes when we acknowledge that His goodness and faithfulness are more real than any present difficulty!
