In a world where everyone is looking for “the secret” to success, peace, true joy, and lasting life, we have a God Who holds it all. What’s remarkable is He wants to freely give it all to us, in abundance. He invites us to a daily journey of encountering all we need, and it’s all wrapped up in knowing Him. While learning the sound wisdom of teachers and experienced people is noble, when it’s done at the expense of prioritising God’s personal wisdom and instruction to us, it will only lead to a life of frustration and worthless toil. Keeping company with Jesus, by His Spirit, and in His Word, is where we gain more than just knowledge and wisdom – we gain understanding and discernment too. Devoting our time to learning from Jesus is the greatest investment we could ever make. It will increase us in wisdom, stature and favour with both God and man; while acquiring perfect peace true joy and lasting life, with ease – freely and lightly.
