Throughout the Bible we read about people’s journeys of faith. In every journey, they encountered great opposition. The way they faced that opposition would either make them stronger or delay the end outcome of victory. In the family of faith, we are taught that we can have what we say. Mark 11:22-24 highlights this principle of faith. We are told to draw from the faith of God that is on the inside of us, and to speak to anything that stands in the way of what God has already promised us. As we release those words of faith, and refuse to doubt, or draw away from saying what we believe – we will have what we say! Praise the Lord. We can use this principle of having what we say to create a life that represents God’s kingdom here and now. Jesus said we are to continuously pray and declare that His kingdom come, and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In heaven there is no sickness, no depression, no anxiety, no poverty. In contrast, His kingdom is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. He was saying that even though we live in a fallen world and there is great darkness all around us – we can live in an atmosphere of heaven – amongst the darkness. Which is exactly what He had promised the people of Israel concerning their promised land. However, in order for them, and us, to possess that kingdom of God lifestyle – we will be required to deal with whatever opposes it along the way. The key is to watch what we say. Never be afraid of the opposition, understand you are well able to overcome it, if you just keep your focus on the promised outcome and say what God says! The strength and resolve you receive from standing in faith like this is priceless. When you face opposition to what God has promised you today – keep your eyes on the goal, believe what God says and keep saying it! That opposition will grow weaker while your skill to operate in faith becomes stronger. Joshua and Caleb told the Israelites that their opposition was their bread. Opposition is there to make us stronger, so refuse to be intimidated by it, just eat it up as you keep moving in victory – because your promise is secured.
