Honoring God’s Word by giving it the rightful place in our lives will always set us on the path of blessing and success. Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom…”  A good indication of how much God’s Word is valued in our lives, is what we do when we are faced with challenges. Do we give our attention to worry, or do we immediately turn to what the Word says?  2 Peter 1:19-21 says, “…we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets. You must pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a lamp shining in a dark place—until the Day dawns, and Christ the Morning Star shines in your hearts. Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God.” God’s perfect will for every situation in life can be found in His Word. The Holy Spirit has made it alive so that when we receive it into our hearts, it’s ageless wisdom will lead us into victory and success – every time. If we become fearful in the face of difficulties, it usually means we have allowed fear to dominate us and take the lead in our decisions. This happens when we lay the Word of God aside and place our attention on the problem, instead of on what God’s answer is for what we’re facing. James says that trials are a testing of what we have placed our faith in! We can be under great faith teachers and become partners to great faith ministries, but our own testimony of where we turn to and what we put our faith in, determines our victory over them. Give Yourself to God’s Word today, and every day. Trust the Holy Spirit to guide, lead, and teach you to apply its truth to every area of your life and you will never be without the light to direct you in the way you should go.
