Jesus said we appropriate everything He accomplished for us on the cross when we partake in communion. It isn’t just symbolic, it’s a deliberate act of obedience; and when we do it with hearts full of gratitude, love, and faith – we activate the supernatural life of God to flow in us. That flow of supernatural life doesn’t just heal our physical and emotional brokenness; it quickens us with God’s own resurrection power. Our spiritual eyes are opened to revelation, the attack of the enemy on our lives is neutralised, and our spirits are strengthened to energise and influence our minds and bodies to overcome every challenge we face. The blood of Jesus that was shed all those years ago still holds its strength of supernatural healing power today. It not only washes us clean from sin, it cancels any and every accusation of the enemy concerning us. We are protected as we stand covered by the blood of Jesus, and our lives are infused with His resurrection life as we partake of His body. Never underestimate the power of taking communion when you do it as Jesus instructed – remembering exactly what He accomplished for you when He died and rose again!
