Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused to bow to the king’s decree, even after being threatened with death. They were fully persuaded that God would deliver them from the fiery furnace, but made sure the king understood that even if God did not save them from physical death, they would not submit to a wicked decree.
These were three young men, full of faith and fully persuaded that God alone deserved the glory, praise, worship and honour. When they were marched towards the fire, the Lord supernaturally protected them. They walked through that fire and were not burned, the flames did not set them ablaze, their hair was not singed, and they didn’t even smell like smoke.
In a world that is becoming more and more wicked, and the demands increase for us to bow to a higher level of wickedness, will we continue to stand for what we know is right? No matter the pressure to bow to unrighteousness, or even a slight compromise, we pray you will stand firm in your faith – both now, and forever, in Jesus Name!
