Overflowing Gratitude
Did you know gratitude looks good on you? In the book of Colossians, Paul poured out his heart as he urged Christians to build their lives upon the solid rock of Jesus. He said to “let your roots grow down into Him”.

Any tree that is firm and solid has its roots extended, deep down in the ground, preventing it from being shaken. The believer is like that tree, when we allow ourselves to be completely rooted in the truth of God’s Word, no matter how turbulent the circumstance, God’s Word keeps us from being moved or shaken. Why? Because our faith will be stronger than any opposing thought or emotion that tries to stir up turmoil inside us! As a result, our hearts will begin to overflow with thankfulness! A thankful heart is so victorious. It not only resists fear, it creates such a contagious atmosphere of joyful hope and peace around us.

So, the next time negativity tries to rush into your mind and pour out your mouth, stop it in its tracks with a word of thankfulness. It will neutralise that toxic thought, fill your heart and mind with the powerful force of faith, and positively affect those around you!
