There’s something every child of God needs to understand: we’re not all at the same level of faith at the same time. There will always be someone who is operating in a greater or lesser level of faith than you. So stop comparing yourself to others, trying to gain their approval, when your eyes should be fixed on obtaining the prize the Lord has set for you to win. While we measure our lives by looking at others, we’re guaranteed to be frustrated. But while we follow the Holy Spirit, and measure up to who He has called us to be, He energises and enables us to excel! Simply obey His Word, seek His Kingdom priorities first and you will guard yourself from unnecessary pressure to please others. Remember, God is your Father; you answer to Him. So keep up your faith, fill your life with His Word and continually be filled with His Spirit – this way your days of comparing will be over!
