Rejoice!

The book of Nehemiah says the joy of the Lord is our strength. Joy isn’t something we create on our own, and it’s certainly not dependent on circumstances. It is a fruit of the Holy Spirit that bubbles up in our hearts directly from His Spirit that lives in us.

Paul placed emphasis on the importance of constantly rejoicing in the Lord because of its ability to empower us to endure and overcome every hardship. In a world filled with fear, doubt and anxiety, we can make the choice to live a life of joy, because we are fully confident in Who our God is. So how do we cause this joy to be a constant source of supernatural strength in our lives?

Every time we choose to focus on the faithful, good character of God, that joy begins to flow. Turn your attention on Jesus today; fill your thoughts with Who the Word says He is. Before you know it, that fountain of life will come upon the inside of you and overflow into the lives of others – strengthening them in their faith too.
