Once we understand the Person of the Holy Spirit dwells within us, and we have received His baptism of power, with the evidence of speaking in tongues; how do we bring that indwelling life and power of God into action, or manifestation? We do it through remaining mindful of that life and power that is inside us, and by obeying whatever the Spirit tells us to do. The Word teaches us that faith comes to us as we renew our minds to God’s Word (Romans 10:17). Just importantly, that faith is released to operate in our lives through us speaking out what we believe (Romans 10:10). Now, the nature of the Holy Spirit is known as the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). All of these powerful attributes of God live on the inside of us, in our recreated spirit-man. When we meditate on what the Word says about these divine qualities, we receive a greater awareness of them in us, and the faith to have them operate in our lives comes. That awareness also creates a greater sensitivity to the Spirit of God within us. So, when we are faced with challenges that would naturally cause us to react with fright or fear, we sense the prompting of the Holy Spirit and respond from His character, instead of our flesh. The best plan of action is to not respond at all, until we turn our attention to our spirit-man, where the Holy Spirit dwells. As we ask Him for help, we can trust His wisdom to flow, and whatever divine quality we need for that exact moment, will rise up from our spirits and dominate our thoughts. As we speak from what He tells us, everything changes. Our words immediately neutralize whatever negativity was intended to be escalated and prevent what was planned to bring us harm. For God’s nature to flow freely and powerfully in and through us, we must choose to spend time in His Word, and remain in fellowship with the Holy Spirit, constantly listening to and obeying His promptings. As we speak what He says, the life and power of God will be released on every word, and what was meant for evil, will be turned around for our good!
