Rely on His Strength

There’s no better time to be strong in the Lord than in these last days. The believer’s walk of faith calls for a complete dependence on the power of God’s might, and absolutely no confidence in the flesh. The AMPC version of this verse says God’s grace, which is His supernatural empowerment, is “…sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully.”. There’s no question our faith will be tested, and it’s in the testing that we must know what it means to remain in Christ. The devil will do his best to distract you from spending time in the Presence of the Lord and in His Word. That’s because in God’s presence there is fullness of joy – which is supernatural strength to overcome the devil. While we are in the Word, our faith is built and we are able to recognise His voice and be led by His Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 2:14 tells us that He always leads us in triumph! Keeping God’s Word in our hearts, minds and in our mouths will cause us to continually walk in victory and dominion. Remember that while you are not focused on the Presence of God, or His Word, you will begin to rely on your own strength and wisdom, making you easy prey for the enemy. Rather, give yourself completely to fellowshipping with the Lord in His Word so that Paul’s testimony will be yours too! “…that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!”.
