There is nothing more annoying or disheartening than dealing with an issue, thinking it’s been dealt with, only to have it resurface again. When the Israelites were finally free from 400 years of slavery at the hands of the Egyptians, they arrived at the Red Sea, only to see the Egyptian’s coming after them in hot pursuit.
You can imagine the disappointment and fear that coursed through their veins at that moment. But Moses, in full confidence declared, “…the Egyptians you have seen today, you shall never see again”. And history tells us how God saved His people and destroyed their enemy right in front of their eyes. This is the standard the Lord raises against our enemy too.
The devil may have had us enslaved in sin, fear, and sickness; but Jesus delivered us from it all! He dealt the devil a heavy hand of defeat and raised us up to rule and reign in heavenly places in Him. So don’t stand for the threat of the enemy again. He remains a defeated foe while you remain secure in your new identity in Christ. So say ‘goodbye’ to what troubles you and hold fast to the victory that’s yours in Christ Jesus
