To walk out God’s purpose and assignment for our lives, we will need to learn how to fix our focus on the things that will keep us moving forward, in the right direction. In the book of Psalms, David wrote that he always set the Lord before him. He confidently declared that walking in harmony with God secured him in a place where nothing would move him. No matter the outward threat, while his gaze was fixed on the Lord, and His instructions, nothing would hinder the blessing, protection, and favour he would receive – in the presence of his enemies.
Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.” As you choose to keep your eyes fixed on the Lord, He will keep you steadfast and immovable in all of our ways. Don’t allow people or things to distract you from your walk of faith in Him. This way your life will be marked by victory and unprecedented favour, regardless of any outward circumstances! Set your gaze on Him and you will not fail!
