The Bible instructs us to stand firm in our faith, especially when we’re faced with trials and tribulations. Jesus said that when difficult times come, we must be of good cheer because He has overcome the world for us! That means no matter what comes against you – deal with it as an overcomer. When brave soldiers faced a charging enemy in open battle, they changed their stance and braced for impact. They would dig their heels into the dirt and declare: “you will not get past me”. Either you stand firm in your faith – knowing who you are and what you’re purposed to do – or you will not be able to remain standing at all. Today, dig in your heels, stand firm in your God and what His Word says about you. With Christ in you, you have a sure purpose to be the light of the world, holding out to it love that never fails, hope that never fades, and power to overcome the enemy. So stand firm in your faith, knowing you are victorious because Jesus has already overcome it all.
