Take Possession

As we study the Word of God, we discover faith both removes mountains from our lives and receives what God has promised us (Mark 11:23-24). The Greek word for receive is lambano. It means to take by force and to seize with a grip that cannot be shaken off. This is the way faith receives.

Since we have an enemy who is bent on stealing, killing, and destroying any good thing in our lives, we must develop an aggressive faith that refuses to settle for anything less than what the Lord has secured for us through the finished work of the cross. This means believing, confessing, and not giving in until we see every promise become a reality. Even though they were God’s covenant people, the Israelites of old, with the exception of Joshua and Caleb, were reluctant to exercise tenacious faith. As a result, they never took possession of the land that was promised them.

Today, choose to exercise your faith; take possession of all God has promised you, refusing to settle for anything less than His very best.
