Temptation is a deadly weapon Satan uses to mislead, confuse, distract and trip God’s people up. Jesus not only warned us about his tactics, He showed us how to overcome them victoriously – by skilfully using the Word! When we are continuously in the Word of God and are paying attention to His Presence within us – we are able to recognise and reject temptation even before it begins to weave its crafty scheme in our lives.
The Holy Spirit has promised to be our constant guide and show us things even before they happen; so we can be reinforced with truth and faith – declaring God’s perfect will over circumstances. It’s time to be proactive when it comes to living in victory in this life. Don’t wait for the devil to have the first say, or begin dictating situations – stop him before he even gets a chance to cause havoc.
Be alert and constantly moving forward in the Spirit, consistently speaking His perfect will as He leads you. This is how we are expected to live and endure until Jesus returns, rewarding us with the crown of life His Spirit enabled us to receive.
