The Measure of Faith

God has given every person alive the measure of faith. Whether you are a missionary in the field, or a minister of the Gospel in your local community; a stay at home mom, or a construction worker; a student, or a professional in the market place – if you are in Christ, you have received the measure of faith.

What does the measure of faith mean? It means we have all been given the same amount of faith. What we do with it, is up to us. Sadly, many Christians don’t use the measure of faith they’ve been given, and do very little to increase it. Faith grows and strengthens by the amount of God’s Word we pay attention to and apply to our lives. Just as importantly, faith is kept alive when we act on it. That’s when it produces the very best results! History tells of men and women of true, courageous faith who turned the world upside down because they were unwavering in their faith in God.

You and I can choose to become unrelenting and courageous in our faith too. Begin by taking God’s Word to heart and believing what it says. Then speak and act in line with that truth and never waver from it as you seize every opportunity to step out and have it prove itself! Soon, you will see how it produces exactly what God’s Word has promised.
