The Bible says we were once spiritually dead in sin, until God made us alive in Him when we became born again. Suddenly, our spirits were made alive by God’s own Spirit. He infused His own life and resurrection power into us, as He made our human spirits His home.
In 1 Corinthians 2:10-16 and 5:11, we are told how the spirit is what searches and knows the deepest secrets and intents of a person. Since the Holy Spirit is inseparably connected with our spirits, the Bible says we are plainly recognized and thoroughly understood by God; and just the same, we can know the innermost secrets and intents of His heart and mind too.
Whether we’ve been born again for ten minutes or ten years, God wants to make His will for our lives clearly known to us – both through the Word and the Holy Spirit making that Truth alive to us. He desires for each of us to fulfil His call for our lives and to be good stewards of what He’s entrusted to us.
Today, when you ‘hear’ Him say something in your spirit, lean in and open your heart to the truth He wants to reveal to you. As you make it your own, it will change you forever.
