When we set our hearts on knowing God’s ways and will, and we choose to obey what His Word tells us to do, the Holy Spirit equips us with the ability and grace to persevere, excel and prosper in whatever we put our hands to.
This is exactly what happened to Daniel. He unashamedly stood for what He knew was truth, and applied himself wholeheartedly to carry out his responsibilities without compromise. It didn’t take long for the king to notice his excellent work ethic, and promotion came. Just the same, when we take the time to know God’s ways from pursuing a relationship with Him in His Word, the results will always lead to us prospering.
In John 15:7 Jesus tells us how beneficial it is to have His Word dwell in us. That doesn’t mean mechanically keeping its rules and regulations. Jesus meant we must fall in love with His ways by spending time in the Word, meditating on it, filling our thoughts and words with its truth and letting it influence everything we do. Like Daniel, let God’s Word live strong in you – it will bring life, peace, joy and prosperity in everything you do.
