The Word Made Flesh

A relationship with the Word of God is a relationship with Jesus. According to the Gospel of John, God is His Word, and Jesus was the Word made flesh. This great truth firmly indicates that God and His Word can never be separated. In the same way, a believer should never be separate from the Word of God. The written Word is alive with God’s Spirit, the very same Spirit that indwells every believer. So, it’s no wonder that the Word must be our priority and the final authority of our lives. Time spent reading, meditating on and studying the Word is invaluable to us. As our minds are renewed to its truth, understanding comes and along with that transformation. Our thoughts, words, and actions begin mirroring the character of Jesus. Which translates to more than just His character traits. The transformation includes us having the intimate relationship Jesus had with His Father when He was here on earth. He knew how to draw supernatural power from His Source, and direct that power through His Words of faith (Acts 10:38). According to Ephesians 1:22, that same authority Jesus has, has been delegated to us, His body. Just as Jesus was an accurate reflection of His Heavenly Father, we are an accurate reflection of Him – in our re-born spirits (1 John 4:17). We are His representatives and ambassadors on this earth. He has given us the power and authority to do just as He did, while on earth. This is only possible while God’s Word is actively at work inside us. We need to know what is says we have access to as children of God. We need to be aware of the power we carry, and how to release its flow. Allow God’s truth to wash over your mind and transform you to become a living testimony of the goodness and greatness of God. This way others will be impacted by Jesus – Who is the Word – alive in you!
