Throughout the Bible there are references to the three Persons of the trinity working together. According to scripture, although all three are intricately connected, and operate together, they are also completely individual. The Bible teaches us that God the Father is presently enthroned in heaven (Psalm 47:28, Matthew 23:22; Revelation 7:10). It also tells us Jesus, His Son, is seated at His right hand (Ephesians 1:20, Hebrews 8:1). The Angels told the disciples this in Acts 1:9-11, after Jesus ascended to heaven. Stephen, before he was martyred, saw Jesus standing at God’s right hand – ready to receive him! Acts 7:54-56 says, “…But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!” The Holy Spirit is the manifestation of both the Presence of the Father and the Son! In Philippians 1:19, Paul refers to Him as the Spirit of Jesus Christ, and in Matthew 10:20, Jesus refers to Him as the Spirit of our Heavenly Father. He is present everywhere (Psalm 139:7-9). Most importantly, the Holy Spirit indwells every born-again, child of God (1 Corinthians 6:17-20). Colossians 2:10 says, “And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—and reach full spiritual stature] And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power].” (AMPC). Is there anything more glorious than having the privilege to know such an awesome God? To have Him, by His Own, Holy Spirit, reside on the inside of us? Take time to meditate on this mystery that was hidden from the powers of darkness who were behind the plotted death of Jesus. If they knew they were being used of God to make a way for mankind to be redeemed from the curse of eternal separation from God, and to be possessed by His Spirit of eternal life and power – they would never have worked to crucify Him. Praise God for His master plan of redemption that included you and me being inseparably connected to the Devine Trinity – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit!
