We were never promised a life without challenges. Jesus said, “In the world you will have tribulation…” (John 16:33). So, essentially, obstacles and trials in this life are guaranteed. But it doesn’t end there. Jesus concluded His statement by saying: “but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world”.
Through our faith in Jesus, and our conformity to His will, we have victory over everything that opposes us from living in His promises. All we had in common with the enemy and his binding, evil tactics was broken – there’s no spiritual ‘DNA link’ there anymore!
We are no longer slaves to sin, but children of God. This means: no evil plan of the enemy has a legal hold on us! Jesus has declared us as His own and called us victorious! Understand today, coursing through your entire being is the spiritual DNA of an overcomer. Victory is your portion. Because you have placed your faith in Jesus, and you are a born again child of God, you overcome the world.
