When we understand the power of the finished work of the cross, we will acknowledge the truth that we are not to live under the circumstances of life anymore. We will understand that the tables have turned on the devil – he no longer holds the position of authority over us. Jesus took that power from him and transferred it to us (Matthew 28:18, Romans 5:17, Colossians 2:10). This means it’s not biblical for us to live harassed and afflicted by the devil. We have been given divine dominion over all things under Christ. We have been delegated the authority to enforce the defeat of the devil on this earth by the power of the Name of Jesus (Mark 16:17). We have been authorised to drive out all darkness by the marvellous light we carry inside us – that light is Christ in us, the hope of glory! This is the reality of every child of God. It’s what Christ purchased for us through our redemption. This is the freedom and power God offers us, but many don’t operate in it, why? It’s only the truth that we know that can set us free! Today, know what was won for you through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Know you are His ambassador, backed by the armies of heaven! His Word in your mouth will cause demons to tremble and mountains to move. What is impossible in the natural becomes possible when you operate in the supernatural force of faith – that only comes as you grow in the knowledge of the Word. So wise up in the Word and stand your ground – In Jesus Name.
