Have you ever heard the saying “you don’t get what you want, you get what you say”? Well, according to the Word of God, this is in fact true! Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that death and life are in the power of the tongue, the words we speak will always cause a reaction, be it negative or positive. When we confess God’s Word, with a heart full of faith, it will always produce what it promises.
In Matthew 21:22 Jesus said, “…whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and [really] believing, you will receive.” As long as what we ask for is in line with the Word of God, we can have the confidence to believe we will receive it. Understand God desires we walk in every one of His promises, to live full of His blessing, and to see His abundant goodness in our lives.
All we need to do is take the words of Jesus to heart: “If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.” (John 15:7, AMPC)
