You Pray

The Bible teaches us that if we find ourselves troubled, we need to pray. We need to use the victory-producing power tool that we’ve been equipped with: prayer. Because of what Jesus did for us on the Cross, each of us has been given access to approach God’s throne with boldness and confidence, to find help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

This teaches us the refreshing privilege of being able to personally depend on the Lord – to learn to rest in His Word and on His promises; and as we grow more dependent on Him, we learn first-hand that we can trust Him. This is how we build our faith on the foundation of His love. Our confidence moves from just the promises to the One who made them.

The more we grow in love with God – we lose our fear or dread of punishment and failure. We begin to love what He loves, and desire what He desires and so begin to pray in alignment with His heart. You can pray effective prayers when you step into the power that awaits you in His presence, and pray His will over your life.
