And just like that, we are at the start of the second 6 months of the year. Time really has a knack for flying! But in all the rush and frenetic pace we have the peace of Jesus as our anchor!

The peace I am speaking about, of course, is that as long as we keep our focus on the kingdom then “all these other things” really become inconsequential. Praise the Lord!

“But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.” (Matthew 6:33)

What a beautiful promise! If you’re missing that anchor or peace, here is a promise from the Lord. If your anchor chain has become rusted, or you have weakened links in the chain, this promise is worth holding on to!

“Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, and offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship with reverence and awe; for our God is [indeed] a consuming fire. [Deut 4:24]” (Hebrews 12:28-29)

You see here what it means to seek out the kingdom of God?

Time is short, and time is precious. Let us redeem our time by placing all our focus, love and adoration on our Father, the One whom we call ABBA!
