Sometimes, in our walk of faith, we encounter circumstances that can be seriously challenging. The truth is: while it’s quite biblical to be challenged, it’s unbiblical to be defeated! As believers, we have been assured of overwhelming victory in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 2:14).
Our responsibility while going through these challenges is to remain steadfast and unshaken by what we see and hear around us – fully trusting in God and the promises of His Word. This is how we maintain our victory that has already been won. A sure way to practically do this is by going before the Lord, opening your heart to Him and praying in the Holy Ghost.
Pray until you hear His voice speak into your spirit. Then go to His Word and let it minister life and peace to you. It will be the anchor you need to keep you safe and secure in the centre of the turmoil around you. Defeat is not your portion because all things are working together for your good as you remain stable and fixed in the centre of His love for you.
