Choose Your Words
Most people remember the saying: “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me.” Today, society has a better understanding of the power words carry, confirming what the Word of God has always declared.

Our words can either build up or tear down. They have the power to either create or destroy. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we have the ability to control what we speak. No matter the circumstance, we always have a choice to either react using negative words that induce fear or hate or to respond with words that align with the nature and character of God. The latter neutralises toxic situations with peace, kindness, and love. Since our words either kindle unbelief or faith, we must be deliberate about what comes out of our mouths.

Today, keep in mind: it takes only a second to react to a situation, and the response you choose will ultimately determine the end result. Jesus responded with the words of His Father, not His own opinion or what man wanted to hear. You can do that too.
