Putting your whole heart and effort into your work is an excellent trait! What isn’t good is losing sleep worrying whether your efforts will produce what you need. Praise God, this is not necessary for God’s covenant people. The Bible says He gives blessings to His beloved in their sleep!
While we determine to put God first in all we do, He makes sure we never lack. This is how His kingdom works, and we are part of that kingdom. That’s what Jesus was saying in Matthew 6:33, when He taught us to seek His kingdom first, which is His way of doing and being right. As a result, He’ll make sure all our needs are met, and other things will be added too. God’s covenant people enjoy multiplication upon the work of their hands – even as they sleep. This is because the blessing of the Lord is what empowers us to prosper, without stress and anxious toil.
Starting today, put your hand to the plough, knowing the Lord multiplies both your effectiveness and production, as you honour Him – above all else.
