The Thessalonians received the Word of God with joy when it came to them in power by the Holy Spirit, with much assurance – in the midst of great persecution! This caused them to be great examples to those around them. The Bible says the report of their steadfast faith had spread far and wide! Does your reputation of faith, your resolve regarding the Word of God, and your yielding to the Holy Spirit precede you? Does it prepare the way for others to learn from, and cause them to rely completely on the Lord?
When we allow the Word of God to truly impact our lives, in spite of the opposing culture and opinions, we will walk in victory and power. We will be known for our choice to stand, believing the truth and refusing to compromise it. The world is desperately seeking the manifestation of the sons and daughters of God, crying out for the demonstration of God’s excessive love, peace and power. That is only going to resound from those who are fully convinced of God’s Word. Through the power and reality of the Holy Spirit, they will lead the way for others to follow.
