Jesus – Heard, Seen, and Touched

Today it’s important to recall the purpose of why we celebrate Christmas. It is so easy to take what we have in Jesus for granted. 1 John 1:2 says that eternal life which was with the Father was manifested to us! What does this mean? Well, the word “manifest” means to make clear and obvious to the eye. So John was saying that Jesus, the Son of God, who is eternal life and existed with the Father in heaven – was born on this earth and manifested in the flesh – for us to know, see and touch! Hallelujah! 1 Timothy 3:16 says, “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, and received up in glory.” Jesus came to earth to show us what eternal life with the Father looks like! And once He demonstrated that glorious truth, He personally made a way for us to live in that reality, while we are living here on earth! The finished work of the cross took away the sin barrier that prevented us from personally knowing God and being filled with His Presence in our lives.  He also destroyed the work of the devil which was not only to bring about the separation, but fill this earth with devastation.  Jesus gave us back our authority over the devil! In His Name we can cast out devils, live in divine protection, and see the sick healed! (Mark 16:17-18). This is why we celebrate this glorious Day! It was the day God manifest Himself through His Son, and made it possible for us to always  enjoy hearing His voice, seeing Him move in our lives, and touching the glorious manifestation of His Presence! Merry Christmas!
