Ephesians 1:17-23 speaks of a list of powerful things God worked in Jesus at the point of His death, burial, and resurrection. Paul makes it clear that it’s essential for every believer to have a personal revelation of these things, because what was worked in Jesus has been worked in us too! In fact, Ephesians chapter 2 says our old, sin nature died with Christ when He died, and we were made alive in Christ, when He was made alive. It also says we were raised up with Him as He was raised, and that we are seated with Him, in heavenly places – just as He is seated in heaven too! This reality of what the finished work of the cross has done for us is too glorious and wonderful to comprehend, without the Holy Spirit revealing it to us! Praise God, we don’t have a problem with that, because we have the Holy Spirit in us, and it is His delight to reveal God’s truth to us! Most churches will talk to us about Jesus – that He died and rose again, and that all power in heaven and earth was given to Him. That He is blessed and holds the victory as He is seated above all principalities and power. But they don’t go on to tell us that what’s true of Jesus is true of us, who believe in Christ! This is the truth Paul is trying to convey to us all! God did the most remarkable thing! He placed us together with His Son – from death to life! We have victory, authority, and power in Him! Jesus is the head, and we are His body! And everything is under our feet! Hallelujah! That means, there is nothing we will ever face in this world or the world to come, where we will be separated from being in Christ! Since we are in Him, we will always be victorious over all things!
